Church Profile

Church History:  Cross Heath Methodist Church, situated on the A34 in Newcastle under Lyme Staffs, is central to the area from which it derives its name.

The Church was founded in 1902 and for the first nine years worship took place in a large wooden disused photographic studio.
Today’s brick Church building was opened in 1911 and the original wooden Church building was then used as the Church Hall, housing both Sunday School and general Church activities.

This Church Hall was replaced in 1953 by a prefabricated building and again totally replaced by the present Church Hall in 1994.
The new building incorporates all mod cons including modern kitchen and toilets (including disabled).

In essence the Church has Vitality and Spirit and has established itself as a major point of Christian Worship for the Cross Heath Community. It continues to serve God in this area.
